We would recommend that a stone chip should be repaired as soon as possible, as chips create tiny holes in the glass, where water and air can enter. On a frosty morning the water will often expand, resulting in a crack making the windscreen beyond repair. The visibility of a repair to glass depends on the nature of the damage at the time of repair. If you are not happy with the look of our repair,as sometimes the damage is too severe to repair.  we can replace your windscreen at the required cost to you but this is very rare as most chips repair very well. After a screen has cracked, the relatively minor costs of the windscreen stone chip repair then increases to a complete screen replacement.

A Stone chip on the windscreen up to 40mm can be repaired as long as it is not inside the windscreens ‘A’ zone area. Stone chips within the windscreens ‘A’ zone can only be repaired if the chip is less than 10mm in size, or slightly smaller than a 5 pence piece & depending on the nature & severity of the damage.
